- WWCC
‍Child protection laws require that working with vulnerable persons requires a working with children’s check number. To be employed by HSL you must have or be willing to get a WWCC. There is a small fee involved. Please click here for information on how to obtain a wwcc.

- EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
‍Please describe your qualifications and any relevant experience you may have. If you have no experience and are a student, give your course details. You may be asked for current transcripts or a copy of your qualifications as proof that you are in fact qualified. These are required to determine what you will be able to teach and to match you with students. You can include any other documents you feel will help you with your application, as long as they are relevant.

- EMPLOYMENT
‍To work for HSL you will need a TFN and be able to work in Australia. If you do not have a TFN you can apply using this form. However, if you are successful with us, you will receive this form in your pack.

- RECRUITMENT PROCESS‍
1) Email your resume to resumes@highersummitlearning.com.au Depending on the period, please allow two weeks for a response.
2) If you are shortlisted we will arrange an interview with you.
3) If your interview is successful, you will complete a short, free course to help you better understand our approach and how to incorporate it into your lessons.
4) Once you have successfully attended training, we will send you your welcome pack that contains some materials and information you require to commence employment with us.
5) You may have to then attend an induction.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

‍In your application, tell us how you have used your skills to motivate students. We want students to be motivated by their progress. How have you done this in the past, whether it be by leading or teaching? We would also like to know how you used communication to build working relationships. This could be in any role, whether you were a student or an employee. Any examples will do.

AVAILABILITY AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

‍You will be travelling to student homes so please answer the following questions:
Do you have your own vehicle?
What are your availabilities? (Please provide days and times). Tutoring takes place after school and on weekends. We also prefer that you are available at least two days out of the week. Please let us know which suburbs of Sydney you are willing to travel to as we operate in most Sydney suburbs.
Of course, you must have a genuine passion to help students succeed!
